Paul Ambille is a French painter born on December 23, 1930 in Béziers in the Hérault and died on July 5, 2010.
Painter figurative, he joined the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris where he attended the workshops of Jean Dupas, Raymond Legueult and Edouard Goerg.
In 1955, he obtained the first Grand Prix of Rome.
He was awarded the Gold Medal at the Salon de la Marine in 1992 and was appointed Naval Painter in 1993. He was elected President of the Taylor Foundation from 1995 to 2007.
